About Me
I’m Dan Stead, an Instructional Designer and Learning Experience Developer with a foundation in education and a passion for creating learning that truly changes behaviour.
After more than a decade in teaching and curriculum leadership, I transitioned into instructional design to apply my experience in learning psychology, communication, and storytelling to digital environments. My work now focuses on transforming complex information into interactive, meaningful, and measurable learning experiences that engage modern learners and deliver business results.
My Journey
As a teacher, I learned how to build understanding from the ground up — scaffolding concepts, assessing progress, and designing experiences that meet every learner where they are. Those same principles now guide my instructional design process.
Whether developing an onboarding pathway for new hires, an interactive compliance module, or a blended leadership programme, I approach every challenge with the same mindset I had in the classroom: make learning relevant, purposeful, fun and memorable.
My transition into corporate learning has been fuelled by curiosity and a commitment to lifelong learning — earning certifications in Instructional Design Fundamentals (University of Cambridge) and continually exploring new technologies like AI-assisted design, eLearning authoring tools, and learning analytics platforms.
